The Buzz Club is a citizen science group based at the University of Sussex, directed by Prof. Dave Goulson.
We investigate questions about wildlife gardening, insect behaviour and how private outdoor spaces can help protect nature. All of our projects use ‘citizen science’ methods, recruiting volunteers across the UK to carry out the experiments and observations in their own garden spaces – finding out what’s really going on with the wildlife (literally) closest to us!
To make this community and these experiences as accessible as possible, our projects are designed to be free to join and undertake. This means we rely on donations from supporters for staff pay, equipment, website expenses and everything else.
